A former lode Au mine located on the center edge of secs. 32 & 33, T9N, R13E, MDM, 1.3 km (0.8 mile) SSE of Henry Diggings (coordinates of record) and 2.0 km (1.3 miles) NE of Omo Ranch, W of Little Mountain along the Middle Fork Cosumnes River (5 miles SW of Grizzly Flat), on private land. Operated by Arthur S. Morey. Operated around 1894. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Probably includes the Mountain Quail, Creole, Crystal and Creole North locations (claims) shown on Pl. II.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite. There are 3 veins that strike nearly due W with steep dips. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 70 foot and 250 foot shafts and a 1,200 foot crosscut adit. An 8-stamp mill was erected.
