A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼SE¼ sec. 33, T12N, R10E, MDM, 2.2 km (1.4 miles) ESE of Garden Valley. Operated in 1921 and during the period 1925 to 1926. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Adjoins the Oro Fino Mine.
Mineralization is a vein Au deposit on the Mother Lode. There are several veins. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of shallow shafts and an adit. A 2-stamp mill was erected.
Production data are found in: Clark, Wm. B. & D.W. Carlson (1956).
The yield of the ore was from $6 to $20 (period values) Au/ton. No record of production since 1926.
