A placer Au occurrence/drift mine located in sec. 19, T10N, R11E, MDM, 1.4 km (0.9 mile) NNE of Diamond Springs, along Weber Creek in Chili Ravine (2 miles S of Placerville). Operated during the periods 1870 to 1890 and 1912 to 1915. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 1,200 foot crosscut adit, a 700 foot drift adit and air raises.
