A former lode Au mine located in the SE¼ sec. 11, T8N, R10E, MDM, 2.4 km (1.5 miles) SSE of Nashville on the divide between the Middle Fork Cosumnes River and East Big Canyon Creek, on private land. Operated by Camilla D. Heald. Operated in 1922. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit on the Mother Lode. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Ore was treated in a 5-stamp mill.
