A former lode Au mine located in sec. 1, T10N, R9E, MDM, about 5 km (3 miles) NNE of Rescue (1 mile S of Four Corners; located on an agricultural patent 1 mile N of Weber Creek, E of Lotus Road). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in amphibolite. The ore body is 22.86 meters long. A large quartz outcrop (75 feet) occurs in amphibolite near a serpentinite body. Country rock extends S into a body of serpentine. Green schist with MN (?) yielded pockets of N of (?) claim. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface openings comprised of an open pit 10 feet by 10 feet by 20 feet. Location somewhat uncertain.

Assays reported were $1.40 and $3.80(period values) per ton. No late work has been done.
