A former Au occurrence/mine located in the center of the boundary of secs. 6 & 7, T11N, R11E, MDM, 1.5 km (1.0 mile) E of Spanish Flat (2¾ miles NE of Kelsey), on private land (?) in a National Forest area. The claim(s) contain 21 acres. Operated by William Hodge. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Logan (1934), Pl. II, shows 2 claims here, both with the same name.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
