A Hg-Sb occurrence/mine located 1.5 km (0.9 mile) SSE of Antimony Peak (coordinates of record), along the N canyon wall of the headwaters area of Arroyo de las Viboras. Owned by the Knox estate (after R.B. Knox).
NOTE: This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database.
Mineralogical Record (also Aubury & Murdoch & Webb) states San Benito County vice Merced County. An antimony mine with a vertical shaft to approx. 25 meters with North-South drifts.
A few tons of hand-sorted ore were removed.
