A former lode Au mine located in the SE¼SE¼ sec. 23, T10N, R13E, MDM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile) ENE of Baltic Peak (coordinates of record), along Baltic Creek (5 miles N of Grizzly Flat), on private land. Property comprises 80 acres. Operated by Oscar E. Reeg. Operated in 1896 and in 1907. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Location may be the shaft shown at this location on USGS topo map.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body strikes NE and dips 50E at a thickness of 0.3 meters. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 500 foot drift adit and a 130 foot inclined shaft. The ore was treated in a 10-stamp mill.

No production record was found.

In 2022, Aidan Garske was unable to locate the original shaft and has assumed that it has collapsed due to a recent fire.
