A former lode Au occurrence/drift mine located in secs. 28 & 29, T9N, R13E, MDM, 0.8 km (0.5 mile) ENE of Henry Diggings (coordinates of record) (2 1/2 MI. S OF GRIZZLY FLAT), on National Forest land. Property was comprised of 30 acres. Operated in 1894. Prospected in the 1920's. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granodiorite. The veins are N and E striking. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 100 and 114 foot shafts and 180 feet of drifts. Possibly also a 600 foot adit.
