A Cu occurrence/mine located in sec. 24, T8N, R9E, MDM, 4.7 km (2.9 miles) SW of Latrobe, on the W side of Indian Creek, in the extreme SW corner of the county (½ mile N of the Cosumnes Copper Mine), on private land. Operated by Clifford Smith. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges)/Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 25 foot shaft.
