A former Au mine located in the NE¼SW¼ sec. 16, T15S, R21E, SBM, 2.5 km (1.6 miles; 8,300 feet) E of Obregon and 8.4 km (5.2 miles) ENE of Ogilby, along the S side of American Girl Wash. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in quartz monzonite. The deposit involves discontinuous fracture zones in quartz monzonite. The zones are 1 to 2 feet wide and 100 feet long. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of short drift adits and trenches.
