A reported Au occurrence located in the NW¼ sec. 11, T14S, R22E, SBM, 3.3 km (2.1 miles) E of Picacho Peak (coordinates of record), at the head of Arrastre Wash. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in silicified schist. The ore body strikes N-S and dips 60W. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 15 (Southern Mojave Desert) and/or Precambrian igneous and metamorphic rock complex.
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 75 foot inclined shaft and a 50 foot vertical shaft, connected by a short drift on the 50 foot level.
