A Au occurrence/prospect located in the SW¼ sec. 16, T15S, R21E, SBM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles; 6,400 feet) ESE of Obregon (4.4 miles N63E of Ogilby). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in gneiss. The ore body strikes N10W and dips 45NE. The deposit consists of a 2 to 3 foot wide breccia zone that contains irregular masses of quartz 1 to 2 feet wide. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a 30 foot drift adit and several small cuts and pits.
