A former gypsum mine located in the E½SE¼ sec. 20, T13S, R9E, SBM, 13.9 km (8.7 miles) SSE of Ocotillo Wells (San Diego County), along the northern flank of the western tip of the northern arm of the Fish Creek Mountains, on Bureau of Land Management administered land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
The ore body is a blanket that strikes N30W and dips 20-30NE at a thickness of 12.19 meters, width of 152.4 meters and a length of 304.8 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 2 (Peninsular Ranges).
Workings include surface openings with a length of 60.96 meters, overall depth of 7.62 meters and an overall width of 7.62 meters and comprised of a bulldozer cut. A second bench is 200 feet long. Slightly explored.
