A Mn-W-Au-Zn occurrence/prospect located in the NW¼ sec. 29, T17S, R20E, SBM, about 11.4 km E of Boulder Park, along the E side of Davies Valley, on Bureau of Land Management administered land (located claim). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in gneiss. The ore body strikes N30-65W and dips 65NE to vertical at a thickness of 1.04 meters and a length of 243.84 meters, and a dip of 65NE to vertical at a thickness of 0.43 meter and a length of 15.24 meters (2nd ore body ?). Controls for ore emplacement included a shear zone. The deposit is comprised of a quartz vein stained in places by Fe and Mn oxides. Associated rocks include Late Cretaceous schist. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic granitic and metamorphic rocks undivided and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 4.27 meters and comprised of 8 pits and 2 shafts.
Analytical data results: One sample contained 11% Mn and 0.051% Zn.
