A limestone-marble (dimension)-clay deposit located in secs. 22, 25, 26, 27 & 35, T15S, R9E, SBM, 4.9 km (3.0 miles) W of Carrizo Mountain (coordinates of record), along the northern slope of the range (southern margin of the Carrizo badlands) (5 miles N of Ocotillo). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 2,000 meters.
Mineralization is a sedimentary deposit hosted in limestone, metasedimentary rock, schist & Late Permian quartzite. The ore body is bedded, strikes N30W, dips 60SW at a width of 1,126.51 meters and a length of 6,437.2 meters. Limestone lenses occur within a sedimentary unit. They are generally less than 100 feet thick (at least a 1,500 foot thick unit). Local rocks include Pliocene marine rocks.
