A former Cu-Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼SE¼ sec. 24, T14S, R9E, SBM, about 14 miles N of Ocotillo, along the eastern slope of the Fish Creek Mountains, just inside the limit of a military reservation (Naval Carrizo Impact Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Other small prospects occur along the fault. No other information was available.

The ore body strikes N65E and dips vertically. Controls for ore emplacement
include a fault zone. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 2 (Peninsular Ranges).

Local geologic structures include a fault which strikes N65E and dips vertically. It separates Pre-Tertiary gneissic rocks on the NW from Tertiary sediments on the SE.

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of one shaft, approximately 25 feet deep which was still accessible in 1987, and several open pits.

Little or no production.

Sample taken showed 2% Cu.
