A reported Au occurrence located 7.4 km (4.6 miles) S of Bald Hill (coordinates of record) (on U.S. land. Claims on Atwood Gulch ½ mile W of Gilaspy Ranch, which is very near to the SE corner sec. 24. - not much doubt this deposit is in sec. 24), on National Forest land. Discovered in 1922. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings.
