A former Mn occurrence/mine located in the NW¼SW¼ sec. 5, T1S, R1E, MDM, 2.4 km (1.5 miles) ESE of Mount Diablo (coordinates of record) and 3.7 km (2.3 miles) SW of Marsh Creek Springs, on the eastern slope of the mountain. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).
Production was 3,000 tons of ore.
