An asbestos occurrence located in S_¼ sec. 32, T1N, R1E, MDM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile; 3,600 feet) ESE of North Peak (coordinates of record), along Perkins Canyon, on state-owned land (Mount Diablo State Park). Prospected by A. Drumeller in 1925. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is cross-fiber asbestos veinlets in highly sheared serpentine. Fibers are brittle and less than ¼ inch long. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).
