A former stone (crushed/broken) deposit/quarry located in the center sec. 15, T1N, R4W, MDM, 5.0 km (3.1 miles) E of Richmond proper, 2.5 km (8,300 feet) NE of El Cerrito, in Wildcat Canyon Regional Park, within the Richmond corporate limits. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This quarry has been worked for over 25 years. It was closed in 1918 but reopened in 1922. Now the site is a Boy Scout campgrounds.
Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges) and/or Plio-Pleistocene and Pliocene loosely consolidated deposits.
Workings include surface openings comprised of a quarry.
