A crushed stone operation located in the N½ sec. 26, T1N, R2W, MDM, 1.4 km (0.9 mile; 4,600 feet) E of Walnut Creek center. Operated by Gallagher and Burke. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Active intermittently providing fill or imported sub-base for state roads.

Local rocks include Plio-Pleistocene and Pliocene loosely consolidated deposits.

Workings include surface openings comprised of a quarrying operation. Portable crusher was on site.
