A former Cr mine located in secs. 14 & 15, T12S, R24E, MDM, 1.4 km (0.9 mile) W of Hog Mountain (coordinates of record) (near the crest of the mountain), SE of Watts Valley. No. 2 of 5 claims in the Saddle Blanket group. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in serpentinite. The ore body is irregular in form. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).

The chromite deposits of Watts Valley occur on the eastern limb of a synclinal, NE-plunging, ultramafic sill. The eastern limb, known as Hog Mountain, is a little over 1 mile wide, while the western limb, which forms Red Mountain, averages 3 miles wide. The 2 limbs join to the NW and together form a discontinuous, triangular exposure of peridotite 10 miles long and 8 miles wide across the base.

Workings include surface and underground openings. There are 2 sets of workings onn the Wedge property: 1.) Discovery includes an open cut and an adit, each 25 feet long; 2.) New find consists of an open cut 20 feet long, 20 feet wide, 15 feet deep, and a shaft 8 feet deep at the inner end of the cut, where the ore body is 14 inches thick.
