A Cu-Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 35, T11S, R23E, MDM, 3.9 km (2.4 miles) SSE of Humphreys Station, in the headwaters area of Sales Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diabase and limestone. A belt of limestone occurs in the E side. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Southwestern Sierra Nevada) and/or ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings with a l;ength of 45.72 meters and an overall depth of 27.43 meters, and comprised of a 90 foot deep shaft with a 60 foot crosscut at its bottom, all in ore.
