A W-Au occurrence located in the SW¼ (estimated) sec. 35, T11S, R28E, MDM, 1.1 km (3,600 feet) NE of Spanish Mountain (coordinates of record), W of the Geraldine Lakes (on the N spur of the mountain, ½ mile SE of Spanish Lake) on National Forest wilderness land (John Muir Wilderness/Dinkey Lakes Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralizationm is hosted in schist and granodiorite. The ore body is lenticular at a width of 4.57 meters and a length of 45.72 meters. There are 2 tactite lenses at a contact between schist and granodiorite. There are a few patches of high grade ore. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface openings comprised of a trench 12 feet by 4 feet and 5 feet deep.
