A W occurrence located in sec. 25, T13S, R26E, MDM, 3.6 km (2.2 miles) NNE of Dunlap, on the western slope of Mount Sampson (5 miles via forest service road from California highway 180), on National Forest National Monument land (Sequoia National Monument). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in mica shist and marble. The ore body is 1.22 meters wide and 15.24 meters long. A pendant of mica schist and marble occurs in granodiorite. The tactite exposure is 3 feet X 50 feet, surrounded by granodiorite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface openings comprised of several small pits and trenches.
