A former W mine located in the NW¼ (estimated) sec. 22, T12S, R27E, MDM, 7.9 km (4.9 miles) NE of Crabtree, on the southern slope of Rodgers Ridge (S of the Garnet Dike Mine), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. This mine is a part of the Quigley Kings River (Beziuk) group.
Mineralization is hosted in marble and granodiorite. The ore body is 0.61 meter thick and 54.86 meters long. A tactite zone lies on the W side of a pendent 200 feet S of the Garnet Dike Mine. The best ore is near a flat pegmatite dike. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or limestone of probable Paleozoic or Mesozoic age.
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of an open pit and 2 adits at 70 and 130 feet long, respectively.
