A Au occurrence located in the extreme NW¼ sec. 22, T1N, R12E, MDM, about 5.6 km (3.5 miles) SW of the Tulloch Dam, along the W bank of the Stanislaus River, near the Stanislaus County line. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. NOTE: The geographic coordinates provided place this locality on the Tuolumne County side of the river, near Calaveras County line; however, the mine shaft symbol referred to in the USGS MRDS database file is clearly in Calaveras County. The geographic coordinates provided in this Mindat file were adjusted to correspond to the shaft stmbol location on the topo map. This is probably the location of the symbol shown in Bulletin 135, Pl. 10. Mine shaft symbol on the topo map.
