A Cu occurrence located in sec. 8, T4N, R11E, MDM, 2.2 km (1.3 miles) WNW of Toyon, along Youngs Creek (2½ miles N of Valley Springs). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is comprised of oxide and sulfide ores of Cu (as observed on the large dump). Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 1 shaft 400 feet deep in the old '49 mine.
