An asbestos occurrence located in sec. 15, T2N, R12E, MDM, 3.5 km (2.2 miles) SSW of Elkhorn Station, along Black Creek and highway 4 (¾ mile SE of the old Nassau Copper Mine; ¼ mile from the Copperopolis-Angels Camp Road). Land is comprised of an 80 acre tract with good prospects. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Noted as an asbestos symbol in the SE¼NW¼ of the section on map GP-561. Prospects of asbestos have been found in a number of places. An old road connects the prospects with the main road.

Fibers are less than ¼ inch (0.6 cm) long. The host rock is a light green, massive serpentine. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of small open pits, open cuts, and an open W crosscut adit.
