A placer Au occurrence located in sec. 28, T3N, R10E, MDM, 1.5 km (0.9 mile) SSW of Jenny Lind, along the Calaveras River. Property consisted of 25 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a 25 acre bench gravel ground, 4,000 feet along the N bank of the Calaveras River. Portions of the property are lava-capped. The upper 6 feet of gravel is cemented and the lower 18 feet is loose material. Local rocks include Miocene nonmarine rocks.
6 men were employed in December, 1935 constructing a washing plant.
