A former lode Au mine located in the NE¼ (estimated) sec. 35, T6N, R13E, MDM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile) SSE of Railroad Flat (5 miles SSE of West Point). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in mica schist. The ore body strikes N16E and dips 64E at a thickness of 0.91 meter. The vein is 1 to 3 feet thick. Local rocks include Tertiary nonmarine rocks, undivided.
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 70 foot inclined shaft with 400 feet of drifts from the 65 foot level.
