A former placer Au occurrence/hydraulic mine located in sec. 26, T3N, R10E, MDM, 2.7 km (1.7 miles) SE of Jenny Lind, E of South Hill (summit) along South Gulch (stream). Operated prior to 1900. Idle by 1915. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Miocene nonmarine rocks.
Workings include extensive surface hydraulicking operations.
