A reported Au occurrence located in sec. 36, T4N, R13E, MDM, about 2 km N of Soapstone Hill and about 4 km WNW of Murphys, on the N ridge of San Domingo Creek. Property consisted of 80 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
NOTE: Neither of the 2 USGS MRDS database files state that this is a placer Au occurence; however, the size of the property (80 acres) is an indication that it was.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
