A former lode Au mine located in the SW¼ (estimated) sec. 9, T3N, R14E, MDM, about 2.65 km (1.6 miles) SE of Murphys. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in quartz-mica schist. The ore body strikes W and dips N.
Sulfides are abundant. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Long idle. No other production data were found.
