A placer Au occurrence/drift mine located in sec. 26, T6N, R13E, MDM, 0.3 km (0.2 mile) W of Railroad Flat proper. Last operated for 3 months during the winter of 1934. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a placer Au deposit located on a paleochannel. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 200 foot inclined shaft.
