A former placer Au drift mine located in sec. 24, T3, R13E, MDM, 2.0 km (1.3 miles) WNW of Vallecito, S of the Six Mile Ranch and E of the Sixmile Creek (on the Brugger Tract, 2,800 feet NE of the Vallecito Western mine shaft, a few miles NE of Angels Camp). Operated during the period 1928 to 1931. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a placer Au deposit located on the Central Hill paleochannel. A depth of as much as 60 feet of gravel was found, but most of the Au was on the bedrock or in the 3 feet of gravel above it. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 2-compartment vertical shaft sunk to bedrock (256 feet). The paleochannel was then crosscut and drifted on for approximately 2,200 feet. Most of these workings were in the slate bedrock, raises being driven up to tap the gravel at various places.

A small production of Au was realized.
