A former lode Au mine located in sec. 33, T5N, R12E, MDM, 1.8 km (1.1 miles) NNW of Mountain Ranch. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body strikes W and dips S. The vein is 2½ feet (1 meter) thick. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 100 foot deep shaft.
