A former Au-Ag-Pb-Cu mine located in the SE¼ NE sec. 3 & in the NE¼ sec. 10, T2N, R13E, MDM, about 3 km SSE of Angels Camp, on the southern margin of Albany Flat (just W of state highway 49). Operated during the period 1934 to 1939. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Originally the claims were worked separately, but they were organized (consolidated) in 1934 (both mines are on the map).

Mineralization is hosted in greenschist and slate. The ore body strikes W and dips 55N at a thickness of 7.62 meters. There are 2 veins on the property, the Marble Springs, which strikes NW and dips 55NE, and the Bullion vein to the SW, which strikes nearly W and dips 55N. The Marble Springs vein is up to 15 feet thick. The Bullion vein is 8 to 28 feet thick. The footwall is greenstone and the hanging wall is slate. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).

Workings include underground openings comprised of at least 3 shafts. The No. 1 is on the Marble Springs claim. It is a 200 foot inclined shaft with a level at 200 feet. The No. 2 shaft is 500 feet to the SE on the Sunken vein, and is a 600 foot inclined depth and 150 foot shaft on the Bullion vein. A drift connects 1 and 2 on the 200 foot level. The ore shoot on the Marble Springs vein is SE of the shaft with a pitch of 300 feet and a stope length of 130 feet.

Production data are found in: Clark, Wm. B. & P.A. Lydon (1962).

15 tons of ore were treated daily in 1936. The Bullion claim was worked over 30 years ago (as of date of MRDS data ?).

Analytical data results: The ore averaged $7.20 Au/ton (period values).
