A former lode Au mine located in sec. 35, T6N, R12E, MDM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile) ENE of Rich Gulch (town), along Rich Gulch (valley). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body strikes NE and dips SE. The deposit is comprised of a series of narrow veins. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 40 foot shaft and a 380 foot adit.
