A former lode Au mine located in the SE¼ sec. 2, T6N, R13E, MDM, 0.5 km (0.3 mile) SW of Bummerville. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Pemberton (1983) refers to this mine as the "Matrimont" Mine.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diorite. Diorite dikes are associated with the vein. Sulfides are abundant. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a shaft.
