A former lode Au mine located in secs. 6 & 7, T4N, R12E, MDM, 3.1 km (1.9 miles) NNW of San Andreas, along the North Fork Calaveras River (near highway 49). Operated during the 1870's and the 1880's, and 1935 to 1941. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is . Property straddles the center of the boundary between secs. 6 & 7.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone and slate. The ore body strikes NW and dips 51NE at a thickness of 2.74 meters. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada Foothills).

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of an extensive open cut, a 25 foot shaft on the vein and two 300 foot cvrosscut adits to E of the vein.

Ore from the main vein yielded $7 (period values) per ton, quartz stringers to the W yielded $3 to $4 (period values) per ton.
