NOTE: The USGS MRDS file states that the locality, geology, etc. of this reported occurrence are in doubt. The coordinates provided in that file are in gross error and place the occurrence in the California central valley. The description of its location (i.e., 6 miles SE of Valley Springs" places it in the vicinity of the Bear Mountains.
"Asbolite" is reported. Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
