A former lode and placer Au mine located in secs. 2 & 11, T4N, R10E, MDM, 1.8 km (1.1 miles) SSE of Campo Seco. Operated prior to and during 1935 into 1936. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone and slate. The ore body strikes W and dips 75S at a thickness of 1.83 meters. There are 12 parallel veins from 8 inches (20 cm) to 12 feet (3.8 meters) in thickness. A placer was also worked on the claim. Sulfides are present. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 500 foot SE adit, a 45 foot inclined (40 degrees) winze approximately 100 feet from the portal, plus a 185 foot adit on the W side of the hill.

Ore was blocked out in 1935.
