An Fe deposit located in secs. 27 & 34, T4N, R13E, MDM, 1.7 km (1.1 miles) NNE of Esmeralda School, along San Antonio Creek (½ mile N of the Esmeralda Quartz Mine near Indian Creek). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a sedimentary Fe deposit hosted in mica schist of the Calaveras Formation. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
