A former Au mine located in the SW¼ (estimated) sec. 13, T4N, R11E, MDM, about 3.4 km (2.1 miles) W of San Andreas, along the South Fork Calaveras River, near its confluence with the North Fork. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone. The ore body strikes NW and dips NE. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a shaft.
