A former Au mine located in the SE¼SW¼ sec. 28, T3N, R13E, MDM, about 640 meters SE of Altaville, along highway 49, just N of the city limits of Angels Camp. Operated during the period 1896 to 1897. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralizationm is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone and slate. The ore body is a vein that strikes NW and dips NE a a thickness of 6.1 meters. At 70 feet of depth the vein was reported to be 6 feet wide. Local rocks include Undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a shaft at 220 feet deep, and with levels at the 50, 100 and 200 foot levels. All levels run S.

Production data are found in: Clark (1962) and Logan (1934).
