A former placer Au hydraulic mine located in the NE¼ sec. 31, T5N, R12E, MDM, 2.5 km (1.6 miles) ENE of Quiggs Mountain (coordinates of record) and 3 miles NW of Mountain Ranch. Operated during the period 1922 to 1925. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a placer Au deposit with gravel located in several gulches. The largest body is 500 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include unspecified underground openings.
An estimated 6,700 cubic yards of gravel were washed during the stated period of activity.
