A former lode Au-Ag-Cu mine located in the center S½ sec. 32, T7N, R13E, MDM, about 4 km (2.5 miles) WNW of West Point, along the North Fork Mokelumne River. Operated 1892 to 1910, 1921 to 1927, and 1932 to 1935. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granodiorite. The ore body strikes N and dips 70W at a thickness of 1.52 meters. The vein is 2 to 5 feet thick. Some ore is high-grade. Abundant sulfides are present. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 500 foot crosscut eastward adit to the vein with a 400 foot N drift and 400 foot S drift. There is also a 90 foot deep winze on the N drift with a 50 foot N drift and 150 foot S drift off of it.
