A former Au mine located 2.0 km (1.3 miles) WSW of Altaville (2¼ miles WNW of Angels Camp), N of Negro Hill. Operated during the periods of the pre-1880, 1890's to 1909. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in amphibolite, schist, phyllite and slate. The ore body strikes NW and dips 45NE at a width of 19.81 meters. The vein has an amphibolite schist hanging wall and a slate and phyllite footwall, and is said to pass through the Osborn and Parnell properties. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Workings include underground openings comprised of an inclined shaft with levels at 100, 200, 300 and 500 feet, with most of the drifting on the 100 and 200 foot levels.
